The critical question all businesses want to know is...
Am I eligible for Catalyst Funding?
Because Catalyst cannot fund everyone who applies to the project, and because we are aiming to help businesses get onto the first rung of the "e-business ladder", Catalyst has set eligibility criteria which businesses must meet in order to be considered for funding.
The SME eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. SME Status
- Your business must be a small or medium sized enterprise (SME). An SME is defined as a business that has
- Less than 250 employees
- Less than £31.8m turnover
- Less than £28.6m of assets
2. Located in the North East of England
- Your business must be located in the North east England region. This 'region' covers:
- Northumberland
- Tyne & Wear
- Tees Valley and
- County Durham.
3. Trading Status
- Your business must have been trading for not less than 1 month. By 'trading' we mean that the business has received income, created expenses for purchased goods or services, or as a minimum, has a bank account set up in the name of the business.
4. Previous Funding
- Catalyst is open to businesses that have received £1500 or less funding in the last 3 years for any support other than hardware (such as computers, printers, cabling etc).
- If your business has received over £1500 of funding for anything other than hardware, your business is not eligible for Catalyst funding.
