The Catalyst scheme offers a range of practical support packages and funding. Eligible SMEs across the North East of England can access to 50% funded support to help them adopt IT and internet solutions for a maximum of £2,000.
Whether you are a service company needing an updated website, a retailer wanting to sell goods online, or a one-man-band keen to create a website for the first time, Catalyst2 may be able to help.
The longer term aim of the Catalyst project is to ensure that North East businesses are in a position to successfully take advantage of regional, national and international markets and boost their productivity.
The funding is expected to run until March 2008, but early involvement is recommended.
This project is following in the footsteps of the original Catalyst project, which ran from December 2005 and closed in October 2005, and provided help to 440 North East firms. Read some case studies here.
Both funded schemes are managed by e-business champion The North East Regional Portal, and supported by regional development agency One NorthEast.
